After the success of their critically acclaimed title Desperados 3, Mimimi Games wanted to introduce their new original IP with a CGI trailer that presents audiences to the this new world of magical undead pirates. I was really glad to work on the script from their initial concept. I worked closely with Mimimi and took care of creating an animatic and then a previz to precisely show how this story would be told.
The game is from the stealth strategy genre where you think a lot first then you execute your perfect plan, and I really wanted to convey this aspect by creating a fun planning sequence and show it mostly in the same top down perspective as in the game.
I had the pleasure to collaborate with Glow Production, I went to Malaysia for the mocap sessions then collaborate from Paris with their incredible team of technicians and artists that actually built the final product.
